Silent Pool Gin Garden wins Silver-Gilt at Chelsea

We're delighted to announce that the Silent Pool Gin Garden has been awarded a Silver-Gilt award for the 2nd year running. The David Neale designed garden was one of the only two gardens to achieve the coveted Silver-Gilt in the ‘Space to Grow’ category.  The judges noted they were super impressed with the originality of the garden and were wowed by both the ambition and the scale of the project.

The Garden, which was a collaboration between Neale Richards Garden Design, the University of Surrey, Plant-e and Silent Pool Gin, takes inspiration from plant technologies and the greening of inner city spaces, combined with a passion to create a space that absorbs people’s woes through the senses of scent and sound.

David Neale commented ‘This was a truly collaborative effort between numerous local Surrey businesses. I’d like to thank and congratulate everyone who worked so extraordinarily hard to bring this garden to life, from the many local growers and plant suppliers to Professors Richard Murphy and Tony Myatt from Surrey University and our sponsor Silent Pool Gin. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved and I’m also so delighted that after Chelsea, this beautiful garden is going to live on at the Cherry Trees and that it will enhance the lives of all the children who visit the centre’
