Our Mission
Launched May 2025, The Beehive Collective is a partnership between Silent Pool Gin and leading bars, restaurants and hotels, working together to raise awareness and promote bee-friendly practices.
The decline of global bee populations, driven by habitat loss, harmful insecticides, and climate change, poses a critical threat to biodiversity and food security
In response, Silent Pool Gin is proud to introduce, The Beehive Collective, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness of this issue and spearheading efforts to restore bee populations.
We want to create a platform that aims to educate the public and inspire action and meaningful change.

Our Bee Farmer & Bees
We support our local bee community by sourcing honey locally from a neighbouring beekeeper.
Sergio is a local Bee Farmer based just outside Guildford. He manages over 220 colonies of honeybees on 41 sites, mainly in Surrey.
Over the last few years, he has managed to introduce more colonies of honeybees into the local environment. This has had a huge positive impact on the flora and fauna in the local areas.

Our Charity Partner
Founded in 1993, Bees for Development is a global charity that promotes sustainable beekeeping as a way to support livelihoods, enhance biodiversity, and protect the natural world. Their work is rooted in the belief that bees can be a force for good – helping people to earn a living through working in harmony with nature.
By sharing beekeeping skills and knowledge, they empower communities around the world to generate sustainable incomes through honey and beeswax production, while also supporting the health of local ecosystems.
Based in Monmouth, Wales, Bees for Development delivers community-led projects, training programmes, and a wide-reaching knowledge network that supports beekeepers in over 130 countries. Their work shows how the smallest of creatures can have a powerful impact, for people, for nature, and for the future.

Preparation for Distillation
Silent Pool Gin selects a waxy honey, which enhances the finished gin after distillation. The honey is therefore almost solid upon arrival. To soften it, the honey jar is placed on the side of the pot to gently warm it using the machine’s heat before being poured into the pot where it infuses Silent Pool Gin with its signature waxy, rounded texture.
Partnership
We’re delighted to partner with Dalloway Terrace this summer in support of the Bee Hive Collective Initiative. For every Bees Knees cocktail sold, £1 will be donated to Bees for Development.
