Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry and claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by participating, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

- This Promotion is open to licensed premises within the United Kingdom which have a wholesale account with Matthew Clark England and Wales (“MCW E&W”) and Tennent’s Direct, acting by an employee who has authority to make purchases on behalf of the licensed premises and who are aged 18 or over, except that employees of the promoter (William Grant & Sons Limited), MCW E&W, their agents or anyone professionally associated with this promotion are NOT allowed to participate.
- Internet access required. Purchase through the licensed premises. A MCW E&W or Tennent’s Direct account is required. Retain invoice for Qualifying Purchase.
- Promotion Period: Qualifying purchase must be made between 00:01 on 01.05.2026 and 23:59 on 31.05.2026.
- To participate: Purchase necessary - Buy 2 x 70cl bottles of Silent Pool Gin using your MCW E&W or Tennent’s Direct account during the Promotion Period through the online portal or by telephone. Bottles must be purchased in the same transaction. Maximum one entry per day. Retain the invoice from each Qualifying Purchase as this will be required for winner verification. Each Qualifying Purchase generates a separate entry into the prize draw.
- Prize: 1 prize available of 2 Tickets to the Silent Pool cup Race Day on 5th September 2026. Winners must cover their own travel and expenses, agree on behalf of themselves and their guest to follow venue rules and that they are responsible for their own behaviour. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize, or part of a prize, for an alternative of equal or greater value.
- Winner Selection: All valid entries received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period will be pseudonymised and the account numbers related to the valid entries will be submitted into a prize draw to be conducted by or under the supervision of an independent adjudicator within 10 working days of the end of the Promotion Period. The winner of the Prize, together with 2 reserves will be selected at the same time.
- Winner notification: The winner will be notified by email and telephone to the email account and telephone number associated with the winning entry by Friday 26th June. Winners must confirm acceptance of the tickets and provide additional delivery information requested by return email by 23:59 on Friday 3rd July. Failure to comply with this timeframe, or if a winner rejects their prize, or if a winner is ineligible will result in disqualification of that winner and the prize being awarded to a reserve. Participants are encouraged to monitor the email account during this time in case they are a winner.
- Unclaimed Prizes: If despite the best efforts of the Promoter, the Main Prize remains unclaimed after offering to two reserves, the Promoter shall not be obliged to allocate the prize which will be null and avoid.
- Privacy: Promoter will identify account numbers of eligible entrants for onward transmission to their promotional agency for winner selection. Upon receipt of the selected winner and reserves, MCW E&W/Tennent’s Direct will send the contact details (name, telephone number and email address) of the winner and reserves, for fulfilment of the prize only, to the Promoter for transmission to their promotional agency. The Promoter’s privacy policy is available here. The details transferred to the Promoter and its agency will only be used for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose unless the participant opts in to receive further marketing communications. With the exception of the winners (set out in clause 11) the personal details associated with participants will at all times be kept confidential and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 as applicable. Any personal data as supplied during this promotion will be deleted not more than 3 months after the end of the Promotion Period (so deletion will be by or on 31st August 2026) with the exception of the winner of the Prize. The personal data of the contact at the winner will be deleted on completion of the transfer of the Prize. The Promoter’s promotional agency may be required to retain certain information beyond this date in line with financial tax regulations. Participants can request access to the personal data held on their account, have any inaccuracies rectified or request deletion of personal data by sending an email to dataprotection@wgrant.com.
- Winner details: The name and county of the winning licensed premises will be available by sending an email to carrianne.sutton@wgrant.com with “MCW/TD SP Cup Sept promo” in the subject header to arrive by 31st July 2026. Participants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting carrianne.sutton@wgrant.com to arrive by 31st July 2026. In any case, if a regulatory body requests confirmation of the existence of winners, or evidence of receipt of prizes, the Promoter shall be entitled to disclose the information of any winner to the regulatory body only.
- The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify any participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, any instructions forming part of this promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating or won using fraudulent means.
- The Promoter and/or MCW E&W/Tennent’s Direct cannot be held responsible for a winner or a reserve winner failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.
- Incomplete, illegal, misdirected or invalid entries, or entries not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
- The Promoter, MCW E&W/Tennent’s Direct, and its respective associated agencies and companies cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury suffered by any participant entering the promotion or as a result of accepting any prize. Nothing shall exclude the Promoter or MCW E&W’s liability for death, personal injury as a result of its negligence or any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons beyond the control of the Promoter (including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures) which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion), the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any participant who tampers with the running of the Promotion or to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion, with no liability to participants or third parties.
- The Promoter, nor MCW E&W/Tennent’s Direct, has any control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter, nor MCW E&W/Tennent’s Direct, will not be held liable to any participant for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a participant’s entry to the promotion.
- If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
- The Promoter’s decision is final regarding all promotional matters, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- These terms and conditions are governed by English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts unless you live in another part of the UK, in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction.
