In our quest to create the world’s most distinctive gin, we sought the rarest and purest juniper and found it in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan. Bhutan is the only country in the world that is carbon negative, absorbing more carbon than it emits. The quality of the air and high-altitude deliver the purest growing conditions for the elusive black juniper berries. The result is juniper berries with the most powerful and aromatic essential oils in the world.
Our Inspiration
Bhutan, nestled in the Himalayas, is home to a sacred high-altitude juniper that thrives in the pure mountain air. Traditionally used as incense, juniper holds deep cultural and spiritual significance. As a Buddhist, carbon-negative nation, Bhutan places nature at the heart of happiness and heritage. Its pristine environment yields rare black juniper berries, rich in the world’s most potent and aromatic essential oils.

Incorporating the Himalayan Puja Ritual
We looked to find botanicals to compliment and celebrate the unique quality of the Black Juniper at the heart of the gin. We were inspired by the flavours and aromas of the Himalayan Puja ritual, where fragrant smoke, juniper and tea elements associated with the ceremony have all been represented.
The mystical agarwood, a rare and precious wood, is used to smoke the Black Juniper. This intriguing ingredient considered a highly luxurious natural product is used in many of the most celebrated fragrances in the world.
